After attending Boston Museum School (adjoining
Boston Museum of Fine Arts) and then graduating from Reed College and
Portland Museum
School, both in Portland Oregon, I began a part-time
teaching vocation in 1969. My teaching experience spans kindergarten
through adult, public and private, Washington state, Arizona, and northern
California where I have been living since 1971.
Although
my fine art major was in painting, my teaching focus has been the
art of calligraphy and italic handwriting. In the early
years I had several one person and collaborative shows of my calligraphy
work. Since the late 1970s her focus has been in the field of publishing.
This includes several map projects in conjunction with Great Circle
Cartography, freelance graphics work for various organizations and
artists. In the mid 1990s I became editor of Sojourn
/ Grace Millennium.
Since 2000, she has done extensive work in publishing (book editing and book design), photography and graphic design.
This website features mostly candid shots of
local events in Mendocino County, northern California. Most of these photos are no longer available as they were put up uning Flash.
